Have you seen “Pay It Forward” ? Do you know what “Pay It Forward” means? The concept was popularized with the book Pay It Forward by Catherine Ryan Hyde, which was later made into a movie with the same title, starring Helen Hunt, Haley Joel Osment, and Kevin Spacey. We’ve all heard of paying it back & giving back but how about we also “Pay It Forward”. Imagine how much better you would feel to help out a total stranger with a small act of kindness. Driving in Los Angeles makes for good practice. I can’t tell you how many times people speed up when I put my signal on to merge over. I clearly understand their actions “no you’re not getting over’. It’s frustrating so whenever the shoe is on the other foot I gladly oblige. Sounds simple but heartfelt deeds makes the world a friendlier place. Just the other day I had an appointment in Santa Monica & parked on Ocean Avenue. I realized I didn’t have enough change so I went to the meter & the first person I asked said sorry but the second young lady stopped opened her purse & gave me $2.00 worth of change. I was relieved because I didn’t have to worry about the meter during my meeting. She made my day so it was my turn to make someone else’s. Yes it’s contagious. If you are feeling down about life it might be time to pay if forward. The good news is your pay back will always come when you least expect it.
