The next time someone let’s you down, goes back on their word or betrays you.
Cry, scream, hit a punching bag, vent for 30 minutes and LET IT GO!
Remember, you are not perfect. We can’t expect others to be perfect either.
Most people aren’t aware of the pain and havoc they bring to the world.
It’s one of the reasons I pray (almost) everyday for discernment.
I am a “Give People The Benefit Of The Doubt” kinda girl.
Innocent until proven guilty.
I TRUST.
This is a huge cornerstone in relationships and business.
You can’t build SOCIAL CAPITAL without it.
Every relationship worth its weight in GOLD starts with TRUST.
Like a lot of women, my own trust issues have held me back earlier in my life.
I trusted the wrong people.
I didn’t trust THE RIGHT PEOPLE.
Then I went through a period where I was very skeptical and questioned EVERYTHING (almost to my detriment).
Here’s the problem with that; No one can build a business on their own. It has never been done ever––not once.
So how do you get yourself to trust someone, especially when you’ve trusted the wrong people in the past?
I had to become confident and trust in myself before anything else, then I practiced discernment to usher in THE RIGHT PEOPLE to help me facilitate my goals (large + small).
This week I want to walk you through THE DISCERNMENT EXERCISE.
It’s easy (#TrustMe).
Grab your journal and make a list of people (or groups of people) who could help you, but you feel unsure about trusting.
“I don’t know about _.”
Some people have earned the “side eye”. I know.
I digress..
Then write down why you feel weary about them and if that reason is legitimate or not.
Do it!
They may hold the missing link to your next client, sale or business opportunity.
You may also find there are more people you can allow into your circle than you think.
I’ve seen far too many well-meaning women miss out on opportunities (for lack of trust).
If you need a sign. Say this prayer.
“Dear God … open the doors you want me to walk through and close the doors not meant for me.”
