Who’s Zoomin’ Who?
I don’t know about you, but I’ve heard a lot of women claiming they are suffering from “Zoom Fatigue”.
This unofficial diagnosis refers to the physical and mental strain as a result of perpetual “video-hobnobbing”.
I know women are craving face-to-face meetings.
They want to dress up, get out of the house and speak on stage, in front of a live audience.
They’re saying that since March 2020 and the mass move to virtual events and online training, they are just plain fed up with “Zoomin”
And I get it.
I’ve been doing this online ‘thing’ for about a decade now.
So for me, life in front of a computer screen this past 18 months has hardly been any different.
But for most ‘Ambitious Female Entrepreneurs’ who were use to boarding a 767 for BIG conferences, organizing hotel ballroom meetings and using Starbucks as a “social hub”.
They are feeling “socially bankrupt”.
And most probably are sick of Zoom.
“it’s hard to connect online”
That’s led to women complaining about “Zoom Fatigue” and boycotting videoconferencing.
Many of the “gurus” are now telling their “followers” to go back to the way things were before.
Like hosting in-person events, depending on where they live.
Wanna hear a secret though?
This is EXACTLY why the Gender Network Gap exists.
If you know “HOW” to network strategically and effectively it doesn’t matter what platform or medium you use.
You can CONNECT with people anywhere and everywhere.
The women saying online networking doesn’t work …
- DO NOT KNOW how to turn their expertise into a virtual event.
- DO NOT KNOW how to generate leads for a virtual event and actually get people to show up.
- DO NOT KNOW how to host engaging events via a video screen.
- DO NOT KNOW how to sell on camera. I’ll be the FIRST to say it’s easier to sell in person but that’s why I teach women how to master both.
In the past year I’ve closed over 200 sales, contracts and deals sitting in Zoom meetings.
I’ve hosted over 100 uniquely feminine (Zoom) events for female entrepreneurs and executives (without leaving the house).
I’ve helped close to 2000 women generate leads, build social capital and monetize their network.
Guess what?
Sometimes the camera was on and sometimes I hit audio only.
People wouldn’t be sick of Zoom if they were connecting with the RIGHT PEOPLE and closing sales EVERY WEEK (like my clients do).
Here’s something you need to know …
Online marketing trends will come and go. Don’t let them pull you in a million different directions.
It’s marketing 102.
And I’d be lying if I said I didn’t jump on trends.
The key is to find a “trend” that works for you and if you’re struggling with execution, find someone who can actually hold your hand throughout the process versus throwing a bunch of information at you.
DOWNFALL ALERT
“Bright & Shiny Object Syndrome” is what’s holding women back.
I LOVE getting dolled up and hosting GLAMOROUS GET TOGETHERS but I would not have been able to connect with the same amount of women in person that I have LIVE on ZOOM.
So believe me when I say, Zoom meetings are going nowhere.
People may be bored of doing stuff online … But there’s a large percentage of people that still wish to conduct business via a “Virtual Boardroom”.
Buyers are still willing to hop on Zoom.
