It’s time for two industries to cross pollinate. Tech brand meets beauty brand.
I’ll take an iPad, iPhone, Mac Book Air and a pink lipstick, perfume soap and Vitamin C serum.
Do you see the correlation? Hear me out!
They are both businesses that prepare for sales. Every day they open at the same time, count their tills (make sure they have enough for cash exchanges), Display their daily promotions, and they EXPECT customers to walk in and buy or purchase online on an hourly/daily basis.
They even run hourly sales reports to calculate their sales and track employee performance.
What they don’t do is :
Close down when it is slow. They dial up their marketing and use their creativity to attract customers.
Hire employees with sales reluctance, fear of cf the word NO, make excuses or say they are not good enough to make sales. They remain open and anticipate sales.
Don’t get upset that they have to invest in marketing/advertising to increase their visibility, leads and SALES!
They don’t behind computer screens wishing clients will show up or rely on the “Click + Close” model. They do market research, train their employees, advertise, remain visible on SOCIAL MEDIA, give samples, offer promotions, Joint Venture etc.
You have to operate your business with the same level of tenacity and strategic planning. Expect to make sales conversations on a daily basis.
Every important discussion is essentially a sales conversation – someone is going to make a sale.
