Female Leaders, Fashion, and What It Takes To Be A Woman of Influence

55% of your communication skills are based on the way that you look.

Are you showing up like you mean BUSINESS?

As Female Leaders we express ourselves through our personal style …

And when that ALIGNS with our personal brand we project a POWERFUL PRESENCE.

Do you agree?

“We live in a world where judgements are being made unconsciously and in a fraction of a second. So, how you present yourself matters.”

“I think it’s more important to be YOU than to try and pretend to be something you are not.”

“Style is subjective and what I feel is most important is one’s presence, standing in your own power and confidence.”

Getting dressed for work isn’t just about getting out the door quickly … following the path of least resistance.

Thinking to yourself “ah whatever! It’s fine.” Or even “… <shrug> this works” is NOT empowering.

Believe me, I’m all about it being easy to get dressed.

But … not if it means you’re just giving up.

As a woman, as a leader, you can’t give up. You can’t just fit in. And you definitely shouldn’t wear something just because it’s ‘appropriate’.

If you have a message or a mission, you NEED to stand out.

If you want to get to the top, you HAVE to stand out.

You can’t follow the ‘old boys club’ rules of dressing. You need to find you OWN style.

You can still be ‘appropriate’ while also being YOU.

And, most importantly, the world needs YOU. Not the idea of what someone else wants you to be or what someone else thinks you SHOULD be.

We need YOU.

It’s in each of us standing in our own POWER that we’ll be able to collectively change this conversation around what it means to “show up as a leader”.

It may take some time.

That’s OK.

All it takes right now is just the first step … whatever that looks like for you.

HOT Success,
Ungenita
