Think Twice About Following Business Trends

Do you follow Fashion Trends?

I’m fashion-conscious, but I’ve never been one to jump on “trendy” bandwagons. If I see something I like and it looks good on me that’s all that matters.

One of the biggest trends in business today is “learning without earning”. It’s HOT and it’s EVERYWHERE.

Instead of spending thousands of dollars on designer clothes, stilettos and fancy jewels women are spending thousands of dollars on training, coaching, certification programs…you name it!

! ! i wanted to go shopping . . . but signed up for a coaching program instead ! ! !

From 5K-100K

Some have cashed in their 401K, mortgaged their dream home and depleted their savings.

But, here’s the deal..

All that training and they have nothing to show for it, and when I say nothing.

I AM NOT EXAGGERATING

No clients

No sales

No plan

No offer

No strategy

No outcome

Not to mention…They’re still STUCK!

10 years ago, I almost fell into the “learning without earning” trap. I signed up for a few of the hottest programs on the market. I couldn’t stop. I was addicted until I realized I was doing a lot of “learning without earning’.

It was quite embarrassing, intrinsically I knew what to do, but my belief system was triggered every time I entered a seminar and I started to think.

I’m not good enough.

I need MORE.

This will be the thing that __.

I decided to focus on the one skill that is responsible for me selling MILLIONS of dollars worth of products and services in my career. I actually forgot that I had this skill. Crazy, right?

Blogging

Website development

Taking pretty selfies

Posting glamorous photos

10,000 followers on Instagram

Podcasting

Online marketing

Great strategies, but I believe (without a doubt) they are secondary to SALES.

You can make a sale without a blog.

You can make a sale without thousands of followers.

You can even make sales without fancy/complicated funnels.

You don’t need to spend hours on social media slaving away to make a sale.

So, I propose the following questions.

On a level of 1-RICH, how good are you at selling yourself?

How many leads have you generated this week?

How many sales have you closed this month?

Why aren’t you focusing on SALES??

Fear?

Rejection?

Confidence?

Clarity?

Visibility?

I see so many savvy business women chasing ALL the “shiny objects” because they have deep seated negative beliefs around selling.

They’ll spend money on learning EVERYTHING ELSE EXCEPT how to sell themselves, and on top of that they’re defensive about SELLING.

“I don’t want to sound pushy”

“I shouldn’t have to sell”

“I just want to serve people and not sound salesy”

I can tell you this.

I’ve traveled the world and I’ve seen this trend on 4 continents to date. Thousands of women walking around with cash flow issues, money shame, money guilt and money blocks, because they refuse to solve the REAL PROBLEM.

I refuse to sugar coat this topic.

There is only one way that income actually comes in to your business, and if you want to bring your passion and purpose out into the world and CONSISTENTLY PAY YOUR BILLS … then look, you’re going to have to close sales, sell your products, sell your services, have “sales” conversations, AND sell yourself.

Too many programs and coaches are keeping women busy and BROKE.

Stop being mesmerized by sales pages, 6 Figure and 7 Figure rants, glamorous videos and designer photo shoots. Perhaps, what you see is not what you’re going to get.

Launch after launch after launch, followed by up sell after up sell after up sell.

Things that make you go…hmmm!

Something sounds fishy, fake and I don’t want to be played for a FOOL.

It amazes me how many women are bamboozled into spending money (they don’t have) to transform their lives, yet are still STUCK. Heaven forbid they ask for additional support, the up sell cycle continues.

I’m sure you’ve felt the bait and switch (It feels inauthentic).

I thought I signed up for A-Z, but I only got L, M, N, O. You know what I’m talking about.

I don’t believe in that (I’m actually fed up with it all).

I do believe in a one stop shop like a department store.

I teach women HOW to use their mind.

HOW to find their authentic voice, not copy someone Else’s AND HOW to market and “Sell Themselves”.

It’s simple..
